Slow Food Truck is owned and operated by two young and innovative chefs, Oren Bass and Zachary Schwartz. Oren and Zach are both graduates of Johnson & Wales University Miami Culinary School. After graduating from culinary school, Oren and Zach had the opportunity to work at Trina in Fort Lauderdale. Zach then went on to work for Alfred Portale’s Gotham Steak at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, where he expanded his culinary knowledge under a Michelin Star rated chef. Oren continued on at Canyon Ranch Miami Beach where he was able to work with local farms. At Canyon Ranch, Oren was introduced to preparing healthy and nutritious food without sacrificing flavor. After working within the restaurant industry for several years, Oren and Zach got together and created Slow Food Truck. Oren and Zach are both members of Slow Food USA.
